The Tally Awards are the people's choice awards for Tallahassee's favorite businesses. It's a competition that is decided strictly by the votes of the populace of Tallahassee and the surrounding area.
A predefined category list is constructed each year to cover the wide variety of businesses in Tallahassee and the surrounding area. Any business that can justifiably fit within a category can participate.
There is absolutely no cost for a business to participate in the voting.
The voting for The Tally Awards will take place on TallyAwards.com from September 1, 2012 - November 30, 2012. Voting is 100% free.
To vote, it is highly recommended that a user login using their Facebook account. This will allow the user to change their vote(s) at any time during the voting window. An alternate means of voting has also been instittued for those users that do not have a Facebook account. These users will not be able to modify their vote(s) after submitting them.
Note that a validation on all votes will be run that will ensure that only one vote per category per user was cast.
Yes, a business can be nominated until 11:59 pm EST on November 23, 2012. You can nominate your own business or your favorite businesses. Our goal with this competition is to be fair and determine which businesses in Tallahassee really are the people's choice.
All of the winners from the various categories will be announced at The Tally Awards Gala.
Being a Tally Award winner is an honor that can be mentioned in all forms of advertising and lets the public know that your company was voted the favorite in Tallahassee by the only votes that really matter - the votes from people in our community!
In fairness to all businesses listed in The Tally Awards, we will not release the final vote tallies to anyone or any organization, other than the main event partners. Our goal in this competition is to find the people's choice for the favorite businesses in Tallahassee. We will announce these winners for all categories at The Tally Awards Gala.
In our eyes, all of the other companies that compete, but don't win in their category, are equal runner-ups and deserve to be recognized and applauded for the hard work that they put in each day to make their business successful.
A business owner may request removal from The Tally Awards at any point in time. The request must be sent electronically via our contact form, mailed or hand-delivered on company letterhead.
